Charles Leclerc Rear-Ended A Minivan In His New Ferrari Purosangue

  • The 26-year-old F1 driver knows Monaco’s streets in both race and road cars.
  • Leclerc took delivery of his silver Purosangue in June, adding to his Ferrari collection.
  • The impact between Leclerc’s Purosangue and the minivan likely caused minimal damage.

Most would agree that Charles Leclerc is one of the best drivers on the current Formula 1 grid and yet despite this, and his recent triumph at the Italian Grand Prix, that doesn’t make him impervious from having accidents on the street.

A couple of days ago, the Monegasque was filmed behind the wheel of his silver Ferrari Purosangue at the Fairmont Hairpin, one of the most famous corners on the F1 calendar. It’s a corner Leclerc has gone around at full speed in an F1 car hundreds of times, and as he lives in Monte Carlo, he’s probably driven around it in street cars hundreds of times, too.

However, on this occasion, Leclerc crept up to the rear of a black minivan while in traffic but managed to get a little too close for comfort, nudging into the back of it with his pricey Italian SUV. The impact was extremely minor and we suspect very little damage has been done to the Ferrari or the car he hit. Nevertheless, it’s a bit of a whoopsie we’re sure Leclerc wishes didn’t happen, particularly since multiple people were filming him at the time.

The video cuts out shortly after the impact, but hopefully, Leclerc and the other driver involved pulled over to exchange details, just in case either of the two cars requires any small scratch and/or dent repairs.

The 26-year-old took delivery of his silver Purosangue in late June, adding it to an impressive collection of other Ferraris he’s acquired since joining the most famous of all F1 teams. Other cars in his collection include a matte white 812 Competizione A, a Ferrari 275 GTB Series I, and a matte black Ferrari Daytona SP3 with red and white racing stripes. He also owns a stunning matte black Ferrari 488 Pista Spider.
