For Sale: Tesla Cybertruck CyberBeast That Only Rolled Once

  • Another Cybertruck flipped and is now at a salvage lot awaiting auction.
  • In this case, the truck in question is of the rare CyberBeast variety.
  • The damage on display is dramatic and includes a wheel snapped clean off.

Electric vehicles like the Cybertruck tend to have above-average driving dynamics. That’s due in part to a very low center of mass which, in theory, should make them harder to flip. Evidently, the Cybertruck itself isn’t as flip-proof as something like the Tesla Model X.

For the second time this week, someone has rolled one, and this time, it’s going up for auction. Let’s gawk at the damage together.

Just a few days ago, a Cybertruck rolled in Vicksburg, Mississippi. The cause of that accident is unclear and what little view was available of the truck was limited. In this case, we’re still unsure of the events that led to the accident but the damage is well-documented. At this stage, it may have crashed near Santa Clarita, California. That’s where it sits now in a salvage lot.

They’re also not the same truck since this one is completely missing a rear wheel. Well, it’s in the truck bed but it, the knuckle, and half of the driveshaft are sitting there with it. In addition, this one has a grey/blue wrap on it that the other didn’t.

Some of that wrap is missing though as it was sheared off during the crash. It’s tough to say where the initial impact happened. Just about every panel has major damage.

The front seems to have taken the brunt of the force though. The windshield is spider-cracked to oblivion, both quarter windows are broken and both passenger-side windows are gone too. Somehow, the driver’s side door glass survived. Interestingly, and perhaps not for the best reasons, the front airbags did not deploy. The side curtain airbags certainly did though. There’s no word on how the occupants fared in the crash.

As of this writing, the salvage company, IAAI hasn’t listed an auction date as the truck is listed as “Not Ready for Sale.” Certainly, it’ll have a few salvageable parts here and there.

Who knows, maybe it or its chassis show up on a future YouTube build series.
