Ford Ranger Gets Dumpstered After Blocking Garbage Area

  • A Ford Ranger in the Philippines became the target of angry locals.
  • The midsize pickup was illegally parked in a designated garbage area.
  • Locals reportedly filled up the rear bed with trash bags, while blocking the front and rear end of the truck.

A Ford Ranger in the Philippines fell victim to the wrath of angry locals when it was found illegally parked in a designated garbage area. Trash bags were piled into the rear bed of the midsize pickup, effectively blocking it in from both the front and rear.

The photo shows a white Ford Ranger parked on a street, surrounded by piles of garbage, rendering it difficult to move. The unconventional retaliation saw the truck’s rear bed completely filled with trash. One can only imagine the aromatic adventure awaiting the hapless owner upon their return.

The smelly load appears to be lightweight for the truck’s rear suspension but takes up all of the available space. The owner must have had a bad time removing all of the trash bags from the Ranger before heading off to a car wash. Thankfully, all of the windows were shut, so the interior should be unharmed.

The incident took place in the city of Baguio, known as the “summer capital” of the Philippines. The photo of the Ranger dumpster was originally published on Facebook by Barangay Pinget, which translates to the village of Pinget.

The viral post that first came to our attention thanks to our colleagues on Top Gear Philippines, was later shared on the main profile of the city’s local government unit, with a stern reminder to errant car owners.

“Please make sure you do not park in areas designated by barangays for trash pick-up.” the message read, a subtle jab at those oblivious to basic parking etiquette. And for those who missed the memo, a follow-up note reinforced the warning, hinting at consequences for future offenders.

This guerrilla garbage tactic serves as a stark reminder of the Philippines’ ongoing battle with waste management.

In the end, the Ford Ranger incident serves as a cautionary tale: heed parking regulations, or risk becoming the unwitting star of a garbage uprising.
