Trooper Shows How To Keep Up With A Dodge Charger Scat Pack’s Furious Escape

  • The driver sped along motorways and through suburban streets during the chase.
  • In a last-ditch attempt to flee, he jumped out of the Charger and fled on foot.
  • He faces felony fleeing charges and a list of other offenses after the failed escape.

Let’s be real – if you’re thinking you can outrun the law, you’re either a delusional optimist or someone with a serious misjudgment of reality. However, there are still plenty of people out there who believe they can escape justice with a heavy right foot and a powerful car. Consider this case a warning to anyone entertaining the idea of fleeing from the cops: you’re going to get caught.

Dashcam footage of a police chase was recently shared online, showing the driver of a Dodge Charger Scat Pack attempting to run from the authorities in Virginia. According to reports, police first attempted to stop the driver, but they refused to pull over. Shortly after, the matte purple Charger was located on a nearby highway, and two patrol cars were able to get out in front of it and attempted to make another stop.

Once again, the driver refused to pull over and instead pinned the throttle. Shortly after police got onto his tail, he can be seen turning off the Charger’s lights, likely in an attempt to try and disappear into the night. However, Trooper M. Middleton was able to keep tabs on the man as he sped down the highway.

After about two minutes, the driver exited the main highway and headed onto some smaller local streets. He managed to create a brief gap between himself and the trooper, but not nearly enough to shake the police. In a desperate move, he swerved back onto the highway, flooring the throttle in one last attempt to outrun the cops—but once again, it didn’t work. Not even a half-decent chase scene.

Soon after, the driver decided to ditch the car at an empty intersection and tried to flee on foot. Predictably, the man was quickly apprehended by police, as was his female passenger. He was reportedly charged with felony fleeing and a list of other offenses, none of which were particularly surprising given the circumstances.

If you try to flee from the cops, you’re going to get caught. It’s just a matter of when.
