Showing off in a Mustang in slippery conditions with people all around you – what could possibly go wrong?

Ford Mustang Slams Into Crowd After Failed Drift On Icy Lot

  • The Mustang’s tires failed to grip the snow-covered parking lot, causing a chaotic crash.
  • Whether any spectators were seriously injured in the shocking collision remains unclear.
  • In another accident, a Mustang driver lost control in front of a truck and ended into a ditch.

Unless you’re behind the wheel of a rally car or at a dedicated winter racing school, attempting to powerslide on icy roads is a terrible idea. Losing control and crashing is almost inevitable. It seems the driver of one particular Ford Mustang (who would have guessed?) in the US didn’t have the wherewithal to realize this, and ended up smashing into a crowd of people. The entire scene was captured on video.

It’s unclear where exactly in the US this crash occurred, but it appears to have happened recently during a car gathering. Snow can be seen covering the trees in the background, and there looks to be sleet, snow, and ice all across the parking lot.

Stupid Is As Stupid Does

Despite the treacherous conditions, the driver appears to try kick out the tail of the pony car, likely hoping they could spin up the rear wheels and put on a show for the onlookers. However, when attempting to turn to the right, all the driver gets is a fistful of understeer as the front tires try and fail to get any traction across the slippery surface.

Even after the driver slams on the brake pedal, the Ford continues to plow forward and eventually spears into the crowd, taking down a fence and several tires in the process.

Warning: Some viewers may find the following videos disturbing

The Mustang seems to have struck some spectators, but it’s unclear if any of them were seriously injured. Immediately after the crash, at least three people briskly jump out of the Ford, inevitably shocked (and likely embarrassed) at what just happened. The crowd goes crazy, and people start shouting and throwing snow at the car.

In a second video, shared by the same Instagram account @atlmuscle, a man can be seen pinned against the fence on top of the car. Although no details about his condition were shared, he appears to have escaped the worst.

Here’s Another One…

This isn’t the only recent accident involving a Mustang that’s started circulating online. Last week, the driver of an older model was caught on dashcam shared on Reddit recklessly pulling in front of an oncoming truck. The driver hits the throttle, and the rear of the car kicks out, but rather than holding the slide, the driver seems to overcorrect and steers the ‘Stang directly into a ditch.

While the calendar recently ticked over to 2025, it appears the plague of crash-prone Mustangs continues.
