Infiniti Driver Takes Beach Donuts Too Far, Nearly Adds Pedestrians To The Menu

  • Law enforcement says a 21-year-old illegally drove his car onto a Massachusetts beach.
  • Once on the sand, he allegedly performed donuts and narrowly avoided hitting pedestrians.
  • He now faces multiple charges, including allegations of driving under the influence that day.

Beachgoers in Massachusetts hoping to catch a glimpse of some winter wildlife on December 26 got a surprise of a different kind: an Infiniti sedan tearing up the sand. According to law enforcement, the driver was allegedly under the influence, performing donuts on Nahant Beach, and coming dangerously close to hitting bystanders in the process.

That driver is reportedly 21-year-old Angel Montas and it appears as though he was driving a G35X on the day of the incident. While some beaches in the USA allow for drivers to pilot a car onto them and park/camp somewhat freely, Nahant Beach, where Montas was, isn’t such a space. Beachgoers alerted police to his presence on the 26th and when officers arrived, he was still out on the beach driving around.

Police say that he actually made several trips onto the beach before they stopped him. In the process, he allegedly came close to hitting some elderly folks and drove into the ocean at least once. It seems that he managed to get back onto dry land as there are no reports of a car rescue operation that day.

Montas is now facing a slew of serious charges. These include operating a vehicle under the influence of liquor, assault with a dangerous weapon, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, disorderly conduct, resisting arrest, driving without an inspection sticker, a number plate violation, a marked lanes violation, and operating a motor vehicle with obstructed windows. He was arraigned on the 27th and has another court date on January 23, 2025.

While some commenters on the situation claim that this was good clean fun, it seems evident that Montas put others at risk. Sure, the video appears to show him giving pedestrians lots of space, but the reality is that even if that’s the case, he allegedly is doing all of this under the influence. That’s a recipe for potential disaster and he should be very glad that nothing worse happened.

Let’s hope he learns from this beach day gone horribly wrong.
