Ferrari SF90 Ends Up Down Under On Its Roof

  • Ferrari SF90 crashes in Perth, flipping upside down after striking a tree.
  • The Italian supercar sustained considerable damage in the accident.
  • Two occupants managed to walk away without significant injuries.

Modern supercars are true engineering marvels. They’re incredibly fast and capable of feats that seem to defy physics. At the same time, try as they might, they never actually defeat the physical laws of our universe and in this story, the driver of a Ferrari SF90 found that out the hard way.

They ended up with their roof on the road and their tires pointed to the sky after an accident in Australia.

The crash happened on Saturday, July 6 in the Perth suburb of Carlisle. Photos of the aftermath show severe damage to one side of the yellow supercar. From the angles available, it appears to be the only significant damage to any one section of the vehicle. Of course, we can’t see the roof which is bound to have seen far better days.

According to the Drive, Western Australia Police say the driver was traveling northbound before the crash. Allegedly, the driver left the roadway, hit a tree, and then flipped over. He is now facing a careless driving charge along with whatever aftermath comes from flipping a Ferrari. The SF90 often sells for north of half a million dollars depending on options.

Someone purportedly in the vehicle during the crash, Farlin Modideen, posted to LinkedIn about the incident.

The post reads:

“I wanted to take a moment to share a personal update with my LinkedIn network. Recently, I was involved in a serious accident but thankfully emerged unscathed. While I am recovering from some dizziness and body aches, I am incredibly grateful for my overall well-being.”

“I am deeply appreciative of the amazing emergency responders and medical professionals who took such great care of me. The support and encouragement from my family, friends, and colleagues have been invaluable during this time.”

He did not reveal any details about how exactly the crash happened or if any other motorists were involved. We reached out to him in hopes of learning more and will update this post if he comments. We bet he’s happy this was the Stradale and not the Spyder.
