Wealthy Influencer Fesses Up To Crashing $1.3M McLaren Senna

  • Edmond Barseghian, a YouTuber and influencer, has admitted that he was driving the McLaren Senna that recently crashed on video.
  • He didn’t apologize for the crash or reckless behavior but confirmed that he is upset about the situation.
  • He says that the car is totaled but that he’ll repair it at any cost.

In the latest case of someone having more dollars than sense, we introduce you to Edmond “Mondi” Barseghian. He’s the person who was at the helm of a McLaren Senna, doing donuts on Ventura Boulevard before stuffing it into a Lexus dealership.

In a post on his Instagram page, he coughs up to being the driver and complains about how sad the crash made him. But it’s okay, everybody. He’s had “a fun day at the track to recalibrate and wash the negativity away.”

As Carscoops noted from the moment this story broke, this was a clear display of public road delinquency. Barseghian does a pseudo-donut and then keeps the tires spinning as he drives away from the camera. What he doesn’t do is keep control of the car though and soon it’s veering off toward a building. The brake lights come on and the engine revs die out but not soon enough. The resulting damage is significant.

In a post to his Instagram Barseghian says “I guess we went viral yesterday for all the wrong reasons, that building must’ve really wanted a collab.” Over the course of 228 words in the post he doesn’t apologize but comes close when he says “The one thing I’m most upset about is that it happened on a public road.” According to him, the car had just come from Racewerkz after upgrades.

He had planned to take the car to Buttonwillow Raceway and then to Circuit of the Americas. “I’m really sad I’ll miss that event because it was the one thing I was looking forward to all month long,” he says. The post almost reads as if he feels someone else is to blame for what happened too.

“I won’t get into what went wrong, maybe another day, for now, it’ll just come off as an excuse but they say everything happens for a reason so I’m glad it went wrong at 40mph as opposed to 150+ at the track.” Certainly, it’s a positive thing that nobody was injured as a result. Barseghian also garnered attention when he totaled a GMC Hummer EV just nine miles into its life.

Interestingly, some sources claim that Barseghian is a ‘racing driver’, but there appears to be no record of him ever competing in any sanctioned races. Perhaps a little more track time could benefit him. It certainly would be safer for everyone else if he’d keep the crashes there and off of public roads.
