<br /> Ram Pickup Tears Ford’s Bumper Off In Dallas Road Rage After Brake Check | Carscoops

The Ford Escape driver doing everything they can to block Ram driver’s progress ends up with one less bumper

Video of a Dallas road rage incident has emerged, showing a Ford Escape trying and failing to block a Ram pickup truck with a trailer from passing it. Two perspectives of the unusual collision were captured, one by the truck involved in the fracas, and another by a vehicle behind it.

Unfortunately, both videos begin after the inciting incident that launched these highway high jinks. However, in the moments leading up to their collision, it appears that the Ford driver was the more aggressive of the two.

The incident took place just before 1:45 p.m. on Friday, March 1, according to the timestamp on the Ram’s video. WFAA reports that the vehicles were driving along the overpass that connects I-35E and I-635.

The video shot from Ram starts with the pickup in the left lane, attempting to pass a dump truck. As it returns to the right lane, the Escape can be seen passing it on the left, having apparently taken to the hard shoulder to complete the maneuver.

The Ford then streaks across the road to be in front of the Ram, and begins slowing down. The pickup moves into the left lane, but the crossover changes lane, too, in order to be in front of it. As the pickup darts back to the right side of the road, the Escape quickly turns to block its progress.

Clearly frustrated, the pickup truck’s driver then tries one last move. Once again, it darts across the overpass, and manages to get its nose alongside the Ford. Although the Escape’s driver attempts to block it again, the Ram driver decides to force their way through, and the two collide.

From the perspective of the following vehicle, the consequences of the crash become clearer. As the truck shoves its way past the Ford, it catches and tears the Escape’s bumper off, leaving debris on the road, and the pickup drives away.

The following vehicle’s footage also reveals just how dangerous and disruptive this feud was. Blocking several other vehicles on the overpass, both drivers are lucky no one else got wrapped up in their road rage incident.
