Dodge Charger Hits 18-Wheeler Head-On After Going Wrong Way During Police Chase

A fleeing female suspect somehow survived after smashing into a big rig while fleeing Arkansas State Police. In fact, the driver actually got out of the crumpled Dodge Charger and led police on a foot pursuit for some time. Now, she’s facing over a dozen charges according to one report.

This video comes to us from the dashcam of Arkansas State Trooper Dairren Evans and it kicks off with him pulling over a silver Dodge Charger. One report suggests that he did so because the license plate “USAJCKN” came back as a blue Hyundai Elantra and evidently expired in 2019. The Dodge driver initially pulls over but once Evans exits his vehicle, they take off.

Evans gives chase going east on Interstate 40 near West Memphis at speeds north of 135 mph (217 km/h) despite wet roads. Just before getting to the Mississippi River and subsequently, the state line, the suspect brake checks Trooper Evans and turns around. Now, both the suspect and the officer are traveling at high speeds going in the wrong direction.

Less than a mile after turning around, the suspect crashes the car head-on into a big rig. As Evans approaches, the suspect is already out of the Charger and running across the highway. Despite having a huge head start, Evans catches her and brings her back to the car about six minutes later.

The description of the video in question purports to be from the police report. There, it says that the suspect is facing 16 different charges including two different fleeing charges, aggravated assault, fictitious tags, no insurance, reckless driving, and speeding. She evidently didn’t need medical assistance after the wreck so she went to the Crittenden County Detention Center.

Radio broadcasts from the scene indicate that the semi driver was also okay aside from understandably being shaken up after the experience.
