Jeep has partnered with hiking and outdoor footwear brand Merrell to create a limited-edition hiking boot that is said to be “built on the legendary heritage of the two icons.”

The Merrell Moeb 3 Mid x Jeep boot is currently on display at the Detroit Auto Show and will be available to purchase from October 16 in eight countries in both men’s and women’s sizes. The boot will be offered in Sarge Green, Sting Grey, and Hydro Blue and incorporates a number of Jeep Easter eggs and Jeep-inspired design elements.

For example, the boot has custom-molded Rubicon badging, red tow lace hooks mimicking the tow hooks of the Wrangler Rubicon, and metal lace hardware designed to mimic the hatches on the Wrangler’s hood. In addition, the upper mesh used on the boot is designed to mimic the hexagon pattern of the Wrangler’s grille while the larger heel webbing hook represents a set of seat belts. The footbed even includes a topographical map of the famous Hell’s Revenge off-road trail while Jeep’s seven-slot grille has been embossed on the boot.

“Adventure meets adventure with the Merrell Moab 3 Mid x Jeep collab, and we’re thrilled to work with an iconic partner like the Jeep brand whose legacy has so much alignment to our own history on the trail,” Merrell senior director of brand marketing Lindsey Lindemulder said. “The Jeep brand has a loyal fan base similar to Merrell, and these boots have on- and off-road capability for you to navigate any journey with confidence.”

The hiking boots will be available in the U.S., Canada, Taiwan, China, Japan, Peru, Panama, and Colombia but only while stocks last. Merrell is running a Jeep Wrangler giveaway to celebrate the launch with a sweepstakes running from October 23 to November 6. Only residents of the U.S., Canada, Peru, and Panama can enter.

“Moab, Utah, is the Jeep brand’s preeminent playground, and it’s only fitting we honor it with the landmark designs featured in the Merrell Moab 3 Mid x Jeep,” head of licensing & merchandising for all brands at Stellantis, Kim Adams House, said. “The craftsmanship you expect, know and love in our vehicles is matched in this trail-rated boot.”
