Ford Mustang drivers seem to have a serious issue with keeping their cars straight and this video is just more evidence of that

Mustang Driver Fishtailing On Wet Road Manages Not To Hit Nearby McLaren – Or Anything Else

Mustangs doing Mustang things tend to end one way. We’ve seen countless pony-car crashes over the years where a driver’s skill is far exceeded by the car they poorly pilot. In this example, we see more evidence of a driver that makes a really poor decision but the end result might just surprise you.

There are very few details about this particular video but in just 17 seconds a lot happens. Based on the foliage and the weather it looks like this might occur on the coast, perhaps Florida. What’s unquestionable is that it shows a Ford Mustang and a McLaren supercar.

The video is too blurry to be sure but it appears as though it’s a 600LT. Whatever it is, it and its driver are incredibly poised in a tough situation. Despite the wet weather, the Mustang driver opts to hammer the accelerator causing the Ford to slide into the McLaren’s lane. The McLaren driver hits the brakes and steers away from the potential crash.

The Ford driver manages to correct but this time swings wildly to the right. They fishtail again, left and then hard right before dipping out of the frame entirely. The dashcam footage isn’t wide enough for us to see what goes on for a moment but the next few seconds are the most interesting.

The Mustang comes back into the frame seemingly undamaged. In fact, it sort of slides into the frame, and then the driver seems to bridle the pony car and drive away in the same lane in which they started. That’s right, this Mustang driver evidently saved the car from any damage at all. That appears to include damage to the McLaren, other drivers, or the infrastructure in the area.

This is the last thing most would expect. After all, Mustang drivers seem to have a never-ending thirst for finding the closest and most damaging object they possibly can to run into. Even in situations where only a single telephone pole or power pole is present, they seem to find it one way or another. It’s wild to see one driver avoid everything and live to ride another day.

It’s so hard to be straight
