Fisker Ocean Owner Reviews His New EV, Hits 129 MPH On The Autobahn

Customer deliveries of the long-awaited Fisker Ocean started just a few weeks ago and one owner in Germany has already taken his EV to the Autobahn to see how it performs at high speeds.

This particular Ocean is owned by a YouTuber who goes by ‘Gentlemen’s World,’ and is the flagship Ocean One Launch Edition. As such, the SUV has the same matte blue exterior finish as we have seen on promo cars over the past 12 months or so, giving it a very striking look and we’re sure it really stands out on German roads.

The owner seems quite pleased with his purchase. He starts out the review by complementing the steering wheel and the overall space found in the cabin. He notes that the seats are also extremely nice and offer a great mix between comfort and sportiness.

Driving this version of the Ocean is a pair of electric motors that combine to produce 550 hp and according to Fisker, this is enough to send it through to 62 mph (100 km/h) in 3.9 seconds. While this review doesn’t include an acceleration run, he was able to push it through to a top speed of 129 mph (208 km/h).

It’s not just the performance of the SUV that looks promising. Fisker has equipped the Ocean One Launch Edition with its Hyper Range battery that allows it to travel an impressive 379 miles (610 km) on a single charge.

The driving experience of the Ocean also seems to be good although he does have a few complaints. For example, he says that the ESP seems a little slow to react in wet conditions and that while the Ocean One Launch Edition has big tires and lots of grip, it can also understeer through corners. He adds that the torque vectoring system does not react as quickly as he would have hoped.
