We’re Driving The 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron: What Do You Want To Know?

Audi has rebranded its e-tron and e-tron Sportback as the Q8 e-tron and Q8 e-tron Sportback for 2024. It enters the model year as the unequivocal electric vehicle flagship SUV of the family. We’re driving one and want to answer all of your questions about it.

Audi has done more with the 2024 version of the Q8 e-tron than simply adding a bit to the name. Externally, it’s recognizable as a 2024 model thanks to its new single-frame grille, new aerodynamic wheels, and facelifted front bumper. Those and other exterior changes have garnered a six percent reduction in overall drag.

Under the skin, buyers will enjoy a new 106 kWh battery pack with a new higher charging capacity of 170 kW. That should enable the Q8 e-tron to go from 10 to 80 percent state of charge in just 31 minutes. The EPA says that this SUV can go up to 285 miles (459 km) on a single charge or about 60 miles (98 km) further than the previous version.

We’re Driving The 2024 Audi Q8 e-tron: What Do You Want To Know?

In terms of performance, the Q8 e-tron leverages two electric motors and all-wheel drive to make a total of 402 hp (300 kW) and can go from 0-60 mph (96 km/h) in just 5.4 seconds. That’s pretty quick for an SUV that tips the scales at 5,798 pounds (2,626 kg). This Audi comes with some extra incentives that add value as well.

First, it’s covered under a bumper-to-bumper warranty for four years or 50,000 miles. The electric components get coverage that extends to eight years or 100,000 miles. Finally, every Q8 e-tron comes with two full years of free charging at Electrify America charging stations. You can bet that we’ll be testing that out during our time with the SUV.

What else should we test while we have it? What questions do you have about Audi’s new flagship electric SUV? Let us know in the comments and we’ll find the answers for you over the next week.
