Police say that the woman brandished a knife before getting undressed and firing her gun into the air

Traffic is a scourge that many have given up trying to fix but it’s made even worse by random acts like this one. Police report that a woman created an entire traffic jam all by herself by walking around the highway naked with a gun. Her motive remains unclear.
Sometime around 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday afternoon, police received multiple calls to their California Highway Patrol Golden Gate Communications Center. Motorists on the bridge complained that a woman on the eastbound side of the bridge was threatening them with a gun from her car.
Evidently, she initially sped away but something soon changed because police believe that then she stopped, got out of her car, and brandished a knife while yelling at other drivers on the roadway. She then got back in her car, got out of her clothes, grabbed her gun, and went right back into traffic, abandoning her Chevrolet Cobalt in the process.

Video from the incident shows the woman firing her gun into the air and her Cobalt as it sat alone on the road. California Highway Police say that she also fired at some vehicles. They didn’t actually secure the woman until about 6:00 p.m. At that point, police took her to the hospital for evaluation. No injuries were reported as a part of the incident.
The highway reopened sometime around 6:30 p.m. What caused this outburst of anger is yet unknown but police are continuing to investigate the situation. At this point, there’s no indication of whether or not drugs or alcohol were involved.
