Could The Ferrari Daytona SP3 Become More Desirable Than The LaFerrari?

Every now and then, Ferrari rips up the rule book and unveils a limited-run supercar that immediately gets the world talking. The Daytona SP3 first presented in late 2021 is one of those cars and Doug DeMuro recently had the opportunity to drive it.

Ferrari is building just 599 examples of the Daytona SP3 so there are very few people on earth who will ever have the opportunity to drive it. As we’ve come to expect from most of DeMuro’s reviews, his video on the Daytona SP3 primarily focuses on some of its more intriguing features before he drives it.

One particularly interesting part of the review is when DeMuro shows the car’s window sticker. The sticker reveals it left the factory with an MSRP of $2,218,935 but does feature some options. These include airbrushed Scuderia shield logos on the front fenders that cost $14,341, a special racing livery that added $35,432 to the car’s total cost, and a set of 20-inch forged wheels for $8,099. The special blue paint also cost $18,561.

Watch: The New Ferrari Daytona SP3 Is Just As Exciting To Drive As It Is To Look At

Powering the Daytona SP3 is the car manufacturer’s most powerful 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12, churning out a monumental 829 hp. Obviously, this engine makes the car very fast but not only that, DeMuro points out it will be one of Ferrari’s final supercars with a 6.5-liter naturally-aspirated V12 and in the future, could prove to be even more valuable than the LaFerrari.

There are very few cars on the road today that compare to the Daytona SP3. Sure, it may not be the most powerful or fastest supercar launched over the past 2 years but when it comes to sheer road presence, it is hard to beat. At one stage in the review, DeMuro says he glanced over to see the car’s reflection and for a moment thought he was driving a Ferrari 330 P4 from the 1960s.
