Florida Woman Crashes Rolls-Royce Dawn Into $3M Statue, Has No Memory Of Accident

by Sebastien Bell

A 66-year-old woman, behind the wheel of what appears to be a Rolls-Royce Dawn, said she had no memory of the hours leading up to a crash that saw her run into a statue, through a landscape fence, and over a seawall.

The woman, a resident of Palm Beach, Florida, where the incident occurred, was at the wheel at around 6:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, when she barreled across the property where the damage occurred, reports The Palm Beach Post.

She drove through the driveway, made contact with a curb, and drove across the lawn. Along the way, she hit a statue that the owners of the property claim is worth $3 million. She continued on, and broke through what appears to be a concrete landscaping fence and over a retaining wall, onto a beach.

Her vehicle came to a stop with the front wheels on the beach and the back wheels still atop the five-foot-high sea wall. Fortunately, no other people were involved in the incident, and the driver of the vehicle was well enough to speak to investigators.

However, she claimed that she had no memory of the hours leading up to the crash, police said. Oddly, they added that she did not appear to be intoxicated. She was taken to St. Mary’s Medical Center following the incident.

While the exact condition of the Rolls-Royce was not specified, it is clear from photos shared by the Palm Beach Police that the front fascia, including the bumper and grille, as well as the rear of the vehicle were damaged in the incident

The Rolls-Royce Dawn is powered by a 6.6-liter V12 engine that makes up to 593 HP (442 kW/601 PS) and 620 lb-ft (840 Nm) of torque. Last sold to Americans in 2021, the luxurious convertible started from around $360,000.
