Does This Challenger Demon 170’s Badge Look A Bit Dodgy To You?

by Stephen Rivers

Dodge has rightly been doing everything it can to promote the beastly SRT Challenger Demon 170 but one freshly released video on their social media channels caught our eye today. Between the flashy graphics and big smokey burnout we noticed something strange. The Dodge emblem on the rear deck looks less than straight.

“To make the most powerful muscle car in the world, we didn’t make a deal with the devil. We summoned a Demon,” says the official post on Dodge’s official Instagram page. Evidently, that Demon didn’t have a steady enough hand to place the Dodge badge on the back properly because the G is for sure crooked.

Somehow it not only made it past the folks at the factory but then it made it past a number of individuals who would’ve seen it before this media shoot. Then, the people who put this video together also missed it. The internet, however, noticed it right away. Perhaps the closeup slow-mo shot was a poor choice.

Let’s be clear, we’re only poking fun at what is objectively a beast of a muscle car. It might even be the greatest muscle car ever. For all we know, it was that massive engine that rattled the G out of place. We know it was responsible for breaking all sorts of things during the development stage.

Of course, it’s not the only time a Stellantis brand has made headlines for a somewhat askew badge. Back in late 2021, we found a pre-delivery Jeep Wagoneer emblem that was in serious need of alignment. Between the W and the R the letters ascended faster than Demon 170 markups have.
